Deuter child carrier test center at the Tourist Information Füssen
Out into nature and into adventure! Is your child still small and not yet able to walk much on their own or is the terrain not suitable for baby carriages? In this case, you can borrow various models of Kinderkraxen free of charge from the Füssen Tourist Information Office.
Information on Using the Kinderkrax
A Deuter baby carrier is suitable for children who can already sit upright on their own and control their heads. This is usually the case starting at around eight months. Deuter notes that most children enjoy sitting in a baby carrier until they are about three and a half years old. Deuter child carriers can support a total weight of up to 22 kg (child up to 18 kg + gear up to 4 kg).
On the Deuter website, you’ll find a detailed description of how to properly adjust the child carrier to your body and how to use it safely. It’s important that you carefully read Deuter’s safety instructions in advance. Our staff and the Deuter team are, of course, available to answer any questions you may have. Füssen Tourism and Marketing assumes no liability.
The child carriers can be borrowed free of charge at the Füssen Tourist Information Office during its hours of operation. There are three different models to choose from. Since the number of carriers is limited, we ask for your understanding that the maximum rental period is limited to one day.
No, you can borrow the child carriers free of charge. After we’ve recorded your personal information, you can take the carrier with you and return it to the Füssen Tourist Information Office the next day.
To continuously improve the quality of the child carriers, it would be helpful if, after your “carrier test,” you could provide brief feedback on the carrier model you borrowed at the Tourist Information office. This feedback is submitted anonymously and can be provided either when you return the carrier to the Füssen Tourist Information Office or online.
To ensure that as many families as possible can enjoy our Deuter backpacks for a long time, we ask that you take good care of the children’s backpacks. Please also remember to check after use whether any personal items are still in the backpack’s pockets and whether the backpack is clean and complete (including accessories such as the sunshade). The removable chin guard is cleaned by Füssen Tourism and Marketing after each use to ensure proper hygiene.
