August 1, 2026: Live music and street art
A colorful spectacle: Spread throughout the entire Old Town, there are live musical performances featuring bands, singer-songwriters, and other musicians who move between the various venues. The samba drummers from Pica Pau, vocal soloist “Pavarocky” Mario Kempter, singer Marketa, and others have had a large fan base ever since their earlier performances at Füssen. New additions this year include Matthias Heiligensetzer, one of southern Germany’s best boogie pianists; Yuli, a reggae musician well-known from major festivals; the medieval musicians of Piro Zores; and the Melting Pot Band, featuring reggae, ska, soul, and funk.
Performances by international street artists will also take place in various locations throughout the festival grounds. They’ll present theater, acrobatics, clowning, and much more. This year’s lineup features artists who each embody a very special facet of their craft, such as The Great Wolynsky from Argentina, Sylvain Oulala from France, and FISM World Championship winner The Charming Jay from South Korea.
Once again, Die Stelzer will be roaming the entire Old Town as walking acts in their fantastic costumes. Especially for the festival’s young visitors, there will be face painting in the afternoons from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Kolping-Gesellenhaus on Schrannenplatz and three puppet theater performances at the Mädchenbrunnen on Ritterstrasse.
Admission is free. The performers welcome donations in the tip jar.
