Starting May 4, 2026, the König-Ludwig Bridge near Füssen will be reduced to a single lane due to renovation work , and traffic will be directed alternately through a single lane via traffic lights. According to the Kempten State Building Authority, the construction work is expected to continue into August . In addition, the path beneath the König-Ludwig Bridge on the Füssen side will be closed to pedestrians and cyclists. A detour has been set up on-site and runs via the traffic lights at the intersection near the Füssen Hospital. Click here to view a map of the closed area.
