Starting May 4, 2026, the König-Ludwig Bridge near Füssen will be open to traffic in only one lane due to renovation work, and traffic will be directed alternately through a single lane via traffic lights. According to the Kempten State Building Authority, the construction work is expected to last until July 31, 2026 . For pedestrians and cyclists, the path beneath the König-Ludwig Bridge on the Füssen side will also be closed. A detour has been set up on-site and runs past the traffic lights at the intersection near the Füssen Hospital. Click here to view a map of the closed area.
