Starting Monday, March 23, 2026, extensive renovation work will take place on Weidachstraße in Füssen, which is expected to last until early August 2026. According to a press release from the Füssen city administration, the work includes road repairs, renewal of the drainage infrastructure, and final asphalt paving. In addition, the parking spaces at the Weidach daycare center will be rotated by 90 degrees. To minimize disruption to residents, the work will be carried out in five coordinated construction phases. Since traffic restrictions and full closures of individual construction sections will occur during the work, bicycle traffic will be rerouted via Augsburger Straße. A detour is signposted on-site and is also linked here. Click here to view a map of the closed area.
