The city of Füssen and Füssen Tourism and Marketing are having the King Max monument at the Lechfall restored. The work will take place from October 5 through October 9, 2026. To ensure the restoration work can be carried out safely, temporary traffic restrictions will be in effect starting Friday, October 2.
This will affect Parking Lot P1, the upper parking lot on Tiroler Straße, and the adjacent pedestrian and bike path. Both will be closed from October 2 through October 9, 2026. A detour will be set up for pedestrians and cyclists via the adjacent section of Tiroler Straße. Road users are asked to follow the signs and to be especially considerate of one another in the construction zone. Once the renovation work is complete, the parking lot and the pedestrian and bike path will be reopened. Click here to view a map of the closed area.
